Pretty worked over

Had a real good week thus far. Training is coming along and i ahve done some good tests and am in the best shape I've ever been in come February. I took my resting HR yesterday and hit 32 so I am close to 0 which i am sure some people would like to see me at. hahahaha i am also weighing in at 70 kilos or 154 pounds. coahces like to use kilos as it makes things easier. this is the lightest i ahve been without being bonked crossing a finish line in a long time. i am trying to get to my orginal weight of 7 lbs. 6 ozs. hahahaha i love that line!
baby blu is awesome and sleeping now as i write this. EZ is training hard again and working a bit but being a mom takes the majority of the time. oh yeah had 2 cups of Peets this AM then a 1 hour bike and an 11 mile run with intervals after and then an hour later a double Lavazza beofre a big swim. every time i think i am fit i think of my buddies, Eddie, AJ and Lisbeth and how they can school me anytime anywhere. anyway it gives me something to shoot for. bring it!!!!

Monday

We had a good weekend here in Miami. EZ got in some good training and is looking forward to racing again soon. It has been too long for her and she really likes competing. We have some of the greatest gear out there and we got in our 2007 Pearl Izumi line up of shorts, jerseys and shoes. They make great stuff and we are happy to by sponsored by them. We will have some new rides very soon froma very well known compnay and I am just waiting on confirmation so i'll release the name soon. i can't believe we've been sponsored by Clif Bar since 1999. This is our 9th season with them and they keep growing and coming up with great products. Did yo uknow they have been noted as one of the best companies to work for and one of the best companies to there employees. The same guys I dealt with 9 years ago are still there. They are fun, make great products and work hard at the same time. They also give a lot back to the sport and to the environment. So go out and get some gels, bars and drinks from them. OOOOOHHHHH I hosted the A1A marathon yeaterday and this was the second year they held it. A really nice event in Ft. Lauderdale but ended up being cold and rainy. I don't know how you all do it in the cold and rain, that shit is painful. Well this morning is a double Levazza with soy made right at my own place. Gotta love it!

EZ hard at work in the office post ride!

Levazza

From the time I wake up in the morning until i have a hot Espresso in my hands is roughly under 2:00 now. I must thank my good friend/lawyer/athelte Marco Ferri for hooking me up with the guys over at Lavazza Espresso. They got me a new Blue automatic Espresso maker. All i do is put a pod in and hit one button and in 30 seconds i am sipping creamy, aromatic, sweet Espresso. But, that is not good enough for me as I like to steam some soy milk and enjoy a nice Latte every afternoon. EZ and I have been on a java high for 4 days now and I had a short espresso and then a tall espresso beofre the hammer ride this morning and was jacked the whole way. Felt great. I love Central Nervous System stimulators. Only the legal one's. This weekend is family time and work time. We'll do some fun stuff witht he beautiful Blu one and I also am the Host of the A1A Marathon TV show again. Yeah i know big egotistical schmuck I am. well they pay me so it's not all for the ego. shout outs: Gardy in Park City you there, Marni in Sarasota what up, Jason in NJ quit yapping and ride harder.
first race is du in 3 weeks and can't wait to get the cobwebs out! more later! literally going to have a LAvazza shot right now!!!

Good people

I like good people don't you? I mean people you meet and you can feel good energy when exchanging conversation. It is really uplifting to speak to good people, hear what they are about and what some of there experiences are. I spoke with a man today all about his kids and as a new father i can appreciate his enthusiasm and excitement when talking about there lives and acheivements. It really makes me wonder what this little bundle of smailes and poop will turn into. I gave a good lecture today to some coaches and I hope they enjoyed it and learned from it. It is a good affirmation to be considered to speak to other tri coaches and I enjoy preparing and planning each presentation. Anyway nothing much else to report. Morning coffee was Wolfgang Puck Edition from the hotel. A 4 on a 10 scale. UGH. But alas a coffee/bike shop is within a walk and the Latte today was nails. It was so gooood. I;m excited to get a new Levazza Espresso machine Monday. Yep that will be 6 coffee/espresso makers in the Z house. Jack it up with the Joe!

5:30am off to ride/run in Bradenton

Heading out the door for a ride run here with the other campers. the week went quick and today is going to be fun: ride, run, breakfast, lt test, lecture, dinner sleep. more later.

NYC pt. 2

Yep the last 2 days were quite busy and I am just shelled. I did four lectures, a 2.5 hour group ride in 15 degrees with wet and snowy conditions (%$$#^& EPIC) and then a swim class at the pool and a 2 hour dinner with all the team. The guys and gals are great albeit impervious to the cold. They are hardcore and some are a bit cuckoo. You know who I mean Single SPeeders.

I’m beat. So tomorrow I teach a 2 hour indoor cycling class as it is going to be 8 degrees (lovely) and then we run, then a strength training class and then the airport. Ahhhhh to be young. I had another good dinner with lots of veggies, salads and just a wee bit of white rice. I have lost a few pounds and trying to keep it off. Getting strict ain’t easy but I like the challenge. One meal at a time. Here I come Portland, lean and mean! I am really living it up in a nice bedroom in a great house but as I am writing this the pipes in the heater in my room are beginning to clank. It is 10:19 and ready for bed but how will I sleep.

pt. 1

I’m in NY and NJ for the weekend with thee Team Fitness Mission team doing some clinics, bike fits and getting to know the whole crew to help them start there domination of the Northeast multi sport team. What crazy bunch of freaks they are. Just kidding they are very good people who are eager to learn and absorb knowledge and fitness. The TFM team has many great components to it and giving back to the community and educating local kids is at the top of the list. I think many of them will achieve great goals this year and finish very well in there Cats.
I am here after being home for 2 weeks after the USAT congress, which was a great success and I really enjoyed being at. Baby Blu is getting really big and now I see something different in her each time I get home from a trip. Her eyes are getting more blue, her hair is getting curlier and we can just start seeing a little personality in her. But, we are doting parents so what do you expect. EZ did her first 5k race post partum. Not only did she do it on minimal training but she pushed Blu in the stroller the whole way. Tough woman eh? It was great seeing her compete again and it always one of the best things in my life to watch Erinne race. Some guys like watching there ladies dance but to me, mine rocks when she races. I can’t wait to see her do more.
Anyway I am back in Miami on Sunday and then it is to Bradneton next weekend for another camp, then home for 3 weeks then camp in Clermont followed by camp in Mallorca. After that I need time to decompress until April. April is travel heavy but fun trips. Thanks all for reading and for you two Jasons that read this, what up???

update to update

i ahve a lot to say but some of you have been waiting patiently. i will have a lot more in 2 days.
